We have decided to create a blog so we can keep you updated on all future projects and bring you on this crazy journey with us!
Although you may have read our "About Us" page and know briefly about how The Original KidzRock Club started we thought our first blog should go more in depth on this subject.
So the idea came to mind while driving back from a local home ed group, we had been searching the internet looking for alternative clothing for our 2 children and struggled to find exactly what we were looking for. My husband (Jason) is a tattoo artist, and has been for over 10 years and is very creative, so he started questioning how hard it would be to make your own??.
So when we got home we started researching how to make your own clothing, what were the best printing options, best machinery etc! We looked at each other and said "could we actually do this", we looked more and more into it and we started throwing ideas for designs at each other, for what we wanted the business to be, and decided you know what lets go for it.
Everything was GO from there on, we spent lots of late nights discussing designs, Jason got drawing while I designed the website. We decided on the name pretty quickly as its something we had stored away for another business venture (more on that one at a later date) and we wanted the logo to symbolise something iconic in the rock industry, and we also made this personal to us by using our sons hand in the design.
We ordered plenty of samples from different brands, different materials and quickly realised we wanted to go down the premium quality, 100% organic route. We were originally looking to outsource the printing and was seconds away from putting in an order, when we decided to make a massive U-turn and keep everything in house.
We are just a small family business, Husband and Wife, with our work station currently in our front room, we both left school early and have no previous experience but within the last 2 months have learnt how to create websites, fb stores, edit in photoshop and silhouette studio and it has shown that if you set your mind to something and have a dream you can do anything.
We want to be more than just a clothing brand, we have exciting partnerships coming soon with local bands and charities (more information on this will be revealed in a different blog). This is a labour of love for us as we want nothing more than our kids to get into the alternative scene as it is a massive love of ours.
We want to create a community, a "KidzRock Club" where our children and other alternative children feel accepted and know that it is ok to be original and different, that there is nothing better than standing out and not being a sheep. We wouldn't have some of the greatest artists, musicians and actors of the world if they had conformed to society.
We hope you can join us on this journey and help us build a new generation of Original Rockers 🤘
If you have made it this far, thank you for reading our blog 🖤
